Manager, Amador Child Care Council,
Jackson, California
Responsibilities:
The Manager of the Amador Child Care Council
reports to the Superintendent of Schools and is
responsible for the general operation of the
Council, including budget preparation, and
quarterly and annual reports to the State, the
Board of Supervisors and the Board of
Education.
The Manager is responsible for preparing the
agendas and minutes of monthly Council meetings,
and conducting research requested by the Council.
She oversees the activities of the Council
five-year strategic plan and annual implementation
plan, and serves as the lead on all tasks set forth
in the plans.
Other Duties:
Other duties include attending state and local
meetings, disseminating information to the
community, and working with county, city, education
and community organizations and businesses to
identify and meet child care and development needs
in Amador County.

Joyce Stone has a wide experience in child
care planning, foster care programs, and
supervision in non profit organizations
and businesses.
Before taking her current position in
Amador County (her home county), she was
Local Child Care Planning Coordinator in
Sacramento County for five years. Earlier,
she worked in the foster care Independent
Living Program for the Community Colleges
