Job Description:
Staff
to the Child Care Planning Council of Yuba &
Sutter Counties
Plans,
develops, coordinates, manages and participates
in providing assistance to the Council in
accomplishing those responsibilities mandated in
California Education Code
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Involved in the development of projects
and proposals related to the provisions and
mandates stated in ED Code.
2. Provides leadership in Early Childhood
Education by providing services and technical
assistance to school districts and community
agencies; provides supervisions of assigned
staff, and maintains effective communication and
collaboration with school personnel and
community agencies.
3. Acts as an advocate in developing
community awareness of the need for quality
child care on behalf of services to children and
families. Utilizes community resources and
provides a wide variety of technical
information/data related to child care program
implementation. Attends and participates in a
wide variety of meetings related to child care
and development services.
Education and Experience Required for
Position:
Bachelors
Degree in ECE or related field
Fours
years experience in child development
programs
At
least two years administrative experience Proven
experience in advocacy on behalf of children,
families, and child care providers
Experience
in developing, monitoring and managing
budgets
Experience
in monitoring and implementing state and federal
contracts
Experience
in project development
Experience
in working with Planning/Advisory Groups
Experience/knowledge
of working public agencies.
