Child Care Services Program Administrator,
Alameda County,
Oakland, Caliornia
Responsibilities:
Under general direction, this Alameda
County position has responsibility for planning,
organizing, developing and implementing federal,
state and/or local mandated programs in the areas
of child care, and related family support programs;
and performs other related duties as required.
This single position classification is unique by
its role in developing and implementing systems and
programs that encompass government, professional,
and community-based organizations to address the
needs of children and families in Alameda County.
The position provides child care and family policy
and program analysis, research and planning, and
resource development analysis to County employees,
community based child care, school district and
post secondary educational institutions, local
businesses, and municipal and civic organizations
within Alameda County. The position is currently
located within the General Services Agency and
reports to the Deputy Director, General Services
Agency for day-to-day supervision.
Alameda County Child Care Planning Council
The Alameda County Child Care Planning Council
advises and makes recommendations to policymakers
to ensure that all children and families have
access to quality child care that educates children
and enriches their lives.
